How to remove program from startup

My DH downloaded a program called IncrediMail, that our firewall then
blocked, I took the right steps (I thought) to delete the program. It's all
gone except the prompt to run the program keeps coming on upon startup. I've
searched all the files under the file name it gives...
incrediMail_install.exe and my computer finds no more files. I've made
sure it's gone in the "add/remove programs". How do I get rid of this?

By 'startup' i take it you mean it appears just after you have booted your
pc to the desktop?
Click the start bitton and the click Run. In the run dialogue box type
msconfig When the configuration utility opens click the startup tab and see
if the incredimail option is in the list. if it is then remove the check
mark from the side of it. This will prevent it from launching on startup.
Click th apply button to apply the changes, then click ok to exit. Now
reboot your machine. A message wil appear saying you have booted using
troubleshooting mode. On the bottom left of the message box is a small box
saying something like 'don't display again' click on this box and then press
ok. the box won't appear again. if you don't disable this message it will
appear everythime you boot your machine

Do not forget to also check with MSConfig! You can selectively turn up
auto-start programs.
