how to remove memory in auto complete for 'to'

Hi, how do I remove the auto complete in the "to" bar? Whenever I write a new
email the "to" will auto complete with old email addresses of people that I
no longer write to. How do I remove them? Thanks

When the name pops up hightlight it with the arrow keys and press DELETE.
