how to remove domain controller no longer in domain

Does anbyone know how to remove a domain controller no longer exist in
directory? I tried Dcpromo.exe & Ntdsutil.exe commands, but
Unsuccessful because it couln't connect to the server.
 
You will be able to remove using ADSI edit. Be extremely carefull
though.
