how to read/write data via terminal server client computer com1?

we are developing a software app with serial data communication to
send/receive data from terminal server via communiocation port. i using
server site to using the machine which connect with client site computer via
communication port. As i understanding from the documentation, it is possible
to map the local COM port to the COM port on the server.
