how to move the Desktop

I've managed to move the Desktop folder, both manually and in the registry
to the new location, "v:\Desktop". But whenever I choose to "save to
desktop"when surfing the web (using Firefox), or choose the "Send
to...Desktop" option when righclicking an item, I find it's always saved to
the default "%USERPROFILE%/Desktop", not "v:\Desktop". This is despite the
fact all the files and folders on the Desktop now refer to "v:\Desktop".

I changed all the %USERPROFILE%/Desktop" settings in the registry that I
could find, to "v:\Desktop" but for some reason Windows is still choosing
the default destination for some procedures. What I'm I doing wrong?

Cheers,
Tim
