somehow i have a admin.tools icon in control pannel and one on the desktop.
nothing that i try will allow my to delete it or move it. the machine in
question has a registry entry for control pannel and for desktop none of my
other machines have an entry in desktop.
below is registry entries

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\EXPLORER\CONTROLPANEL\NAMESPACE\
{D20EA4E1-3957-11d2-A40B-0C5020524153} (DEFAULT) REG_SZ ADMINSTRATIVE
TOOLS

AND

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\EXPLORER\DESKTOP\NAMESPACE\
{D20EA4E1-3957-11d2-A40B-0C5020524153} (DEFAULT) REG_SZ (value not
set)

i dont like the idea of admin tools on desktop not sure how to or if i can
delete the registry entry for desktop??????????

any help would be appreciated. nothing has worked no delete option with
right click. i can create a short cut from the desktop icon and delete it.
but that ont admin icon is always there and cant be moved.
thanks

If you don't want it, then export the Registry key in case you change
your mind and then delete it.
