Dear Ramesh..I followed your detailed instructions for case scenario one and
case #2...but still..the admin folder is empty....My reg settings were wrong
and I did get rid of the word "Other" under the first reg setting, and under
the shell folders I added the percent sign as well as "sprofile" after the
word user. I appreciate your quick response and look forward to continuing to
follow your instruction...Will you remote access me? (my computer?) XP has
this feature! Paula at (e-mail address removed)

Scan with either Sysclean or David Lipman's Multi-AV:

http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#TrendMicros_Sysclean
http://www.ik-cs.com/multi-av.htm - how to use Dave Lipman's Multi-AV
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/Multi_AV.exe - Multi-AV download

After you've done the initial scan, go through the general malware
removal steps here:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Now see if you can update your full-feature Trend av and do a thorough
scan in Safe Mode.
