Can anyone tell me how to install SQL 2000 on windows XP? Does it support
XP?

You need the desktop edition, or the MSDE with the client tools off your SQL
2000 CD.

I'd suggest asking in a newsgroup related to SQL Server such as
microsoft.public.sqlserver.setup

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.

You can install MSDE, downloadable from download.microsoft.com. If you wish
to have full blown SQL server on Windows XP, you have to have SQL Server
2000 Developer Edition. No other version will install.
