How to insert the date the file was last altered on PP slide

In slide master ... I know how to get the current date that the file is being
printed to appear on the slides, but how do I get the date that the file was
last altered (or saved) to appear on the slides? The current date I am
printing the document is really irrelevant if you have the last saved/altered
date. I am not a programmer, just a frequent user of PowerPoint.

What version of PPT?

The wrong information is readily available in the meta data for the file.
The last update date is usually when it was last opened. The best way to
get this would be to set up a save event capture that would run your code
(modifying the fields you set-up) prior to actually saving the file.

However, this requires coding. I'd recommend that you hire a PPT coder to
write you an add-in to do this
