don't show or print PP 207

I'm running PP 2007 on Win7 Ultimate. I'm aware of the option to show/hide a
slide - are there any add-ons to set print/no-print in the same fashion? As
I create PP presentations for my classes I may have sides that I don't want
to print when creating handouts. I'm aware that I can selectively select
slides to print at print time but this is so difficult when I have large
presentations (100-1200 slides) and the presentations often change. As I
create a presentation I may have a slide that I want to show but I do not
want it in the handout. Example: slide 44 has some questions and multiple
choice answers. Slide 45 has the answers but I don't want to print it out but
I do want to show it. At other times I include a slide that is not ready for
me to present, this slide I don't want to show or print until it is correctly
updated.

I'm open for workarounds but remember that my PP files are huge and
frequently change.

Steve, your add-in is great and I love the price :) but falls short of my
needs (as I currently view them) and I can easily see where this would be a
programming nightmare. But I'm able to use the add-in to meet part of my
needs thanks for your efforts. If you update the macro or need a tester let
me know (jgt atsign iw-ltd dot com)

I don't know if this is an acceptable work-around for you, but one of the
print options is to print a "custom screen show". If you would create a
custom screen show, you could add and remove slides similar to show/hide.
Then name the custom screen show. Then print the custom screen show.

You can have more than one custom screen show... one for the lecture, one
for printing.

This is a possible option but my main concern is the size of some of my
presentations (on the average 500-1500 slides) and the amount of changes I
make after a lecture (updates, corrections, additions, etc.). If I understand
the custom screen show setup it is a LOT of manual effort especially for the
size of my presentations. I could select ALL slides in the initial setup and
then deselect the slides I don't want to show. Also once a "custom screen
show" is created I think I see an update issue as I'm modifying the file,
let's say I add 40 slides in a random fashion to my 1000 slide presentation I
don't see an easy way to find the slides I just added and either add them or
leave them out. By default the new 40 slides will not show in a "custom slide
show" until manually added (this seems to be the correct default action).

I just created a test "custom slide show" from a 200 slide presentation.
First I selected ALL of the slides and then deselected some. So far it looked
good. Then I added a few slides throughout the original presentation. It was
a royal pain (near impossible) finding the new slides to add them to the
"custom slide show". Then when I added a new slide to the "Custom slide show"
it was added to the bottom of the "custom slide show" list. This really threw
me a curve. Holy cow, this seems like a LOT of work and subject to a LOT of
error.

Or am I missing something?
