how to initiate remote assistance

hello there,
i would like to initiate the remote desktop assistance to another computer.
(its not the remote desktop connection, where we take control of whole PC)
but infact the user can see us how to do what we are doing.

i checked MS website and it said to set the group policies, but i dont know
how and where to get to these policies to enable/disable some options.

anyone familiar with this stuff??
