How to get Front Page to recognize correct file date?

In FrontPage, when I view files to use for updates, the new versions of files
stored locally do not show the correct modification date in Front Page (in
Windows Explorer the date is correct). The files therefore do not update
because the dates on the web server are more recent than the newly posted
files on my local server. Is FrontPage reading the created date instead of
the modified date? The only work around we have so far is to delete the web
server copy and then run the update, but this is tedious.

Are you opening a web before you open and change individual pages? If
not do so, and recalculate hyperlinks to reset the frontpage meta data.

ALWAYS open a web THEN open a page for editing.
