how to find wp document when saved name forgotten?

I have over a thousand files on Word WP and cannot easily find one that I
might have saved some months ago unless I can remember the exact title. Is
there an easy way to find files apart from trawling through all of them?

Some better file management would be a good start - put documents of
particular types in separate folders. However, the advanced search function
of Windows Explorer has a number of powerful options to allow you to search
for particular files.
