How to find desktop background picture in windows xp folder

Assuming you mean one of the windows installed desktop pictures you can find
these in the C:\Windows folder.

Display Properties, Desktop tab. Click the Browse button. Browse will open
to the folder you are currently using.

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\My Documents\My Pictures
%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
or
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer
%ProgramFiles%\Plus!\Themes
