How to download Word 2003 .doc file to CD

[Saving .doc files to CD]

I've been trying to Burn a Word (not Works) file. When I select "Save as"
and select D: it won't let me save the document to the CD. The file has
".doc" as its extension. Does anyone know how to do this? I need help!

You cannot save to CD directly from Word. Save the file to your hard drive.
Then use the CD-burning program to copy it to CD.
