Hi all,

I used the remote desktop connection to access my PC... but the remote
desktop connection only allows single user mode, so everytime if another
user login to my PC... I will get disconnected... how to temporarily
disallow other login while I am handling important work, then after I am
done, allow other users to login in?

Thanks a lot,

There is no way to do that AFAIK...

You could hang a sign on the PC when you leave work to try and keep folks from using your PC...

When you're logged in via remote desktop, the display on the 'host' computer
will state that the computer is in use and has been locked. Only someone who
knows your password (bad) or has admin rights can override this by pressing
ctrl+alt+del and logging you off (of course, they could simply turn off the
computer & boot it up again). I agree that the "hang a sign on the monitor"
method is low-tech, but it should work - but make sure only you know your
password, and that other users do not have admin rights, anyway.

The problem is that we as a small group people share the same administrator
password, i.e. there are people higher than me who has the administrator
password and they don't usually see the prompt that some one is using it...
I hope there is such kind of screen saver can show user status with very
large and eye-catching fonts... is that possible?

Thanks a lot

No, not that I know of. There's no way they can't notice that someone is
using the machine, because they first have to log that user off to end the
session, and then log in themselves.
