How to delete Junk files on an external disk?

I have an external disk and PCPitstop says that there are 300 MB of junk files on it.

I have PC Pitstop Optimizer but it does not do the job on the external drive.

Suggestions?

I am using Windows XP.

highlight the "junk files" and delete them

I would have done that, of course, but only PCPitstop says tthere are lots of "junk files" on the external disk.

When I go to the external disk I can NOT see any "junk files" and I am sure that the computer does not automatically designate sone files as "junk files"

So, it is not THAT easy.
