How to deactivate desktop shortcut so that it wont display after sysprep

after doing sysprep with xp pro i boot it again and there
were some shortcuts like msn and windows media player
displayed in desktop. where can i deactivate them so that
after sysprep, when the end user boot the terminal, there
will be no shortcuts displayed.

As for Windows Media Player, you can use "Set Program Access and Defaults"
(accessible from Control Panel \ Add/Remove).

This would uninstall the windows media player. all I want
is to refrain it from displaying in desktop.thanks for the
suggestion.
