How to copy files to an unshared folder

How can you copy a file to an unshared folder via the
command line. I want to copy this file to the system
root of another computer without end-user interruption.

I assume keeping files/folders hidden purposely prevents a (non)malicious
user/hacker accessing other people's machines.
