When I want to select a folder and go there I have to use the left
mouse button and double click. But sometimes I click sooner than the
cursor is on the desired folder and the cursor movement meanwhile
moves the near-by folder into the other one. Which could be a big
problem in a business directory tree!!
How can I change the default behaviour of the drag&drop with left
mouse button in Windows Explorer? Any updated idea? I can not find any
good advice on the Net..

Not sure if this is what you are after, but you could do the following:
Go into Windows Explorer and select Tools/FolderOptions. On the General tab,
select the "Single-click to open an item (point to select)" radio option.
This will prevent the problem you are describing.

If you accidentally move a folder, Ctrl/Z should replace it in its
original location.

If you don't like Martin's solution, (I don't like single click), you can
download TweakUI from MS and change the drag sensitivity of the mouse.
