How to change identities with Outlook

There is a command in Outlook Express to change identities, but I don't see
how to do this in Outlook. I have added and set up a new email account
which I want to use as an alternate, but don't see how to switch to the other
profile for sending and receiving email in the alternative profile.

I have Outlook 2002. I don't see an accounts button next to send and
receive. Do I have the wrong tool bar viewed?

The equivalent of OE identities in Outlook are mail profile.

You've got 2 accounts listed when going to Tools-> Email Account?

Yes, I've found that. I've now decide the easiest thing to do was go ahead
and set up a whole new user in the control panel for this mail account, and
switch users when I want to send out of this account. For some reason it
seems easier in OUtlook Express.

That is a bit taking the long route. When you have multiple accounts
configured you either have an accounts button or a dropdown button on the
Send button (depending on your version of Outlook and if you have Word or
Outlook as the email editor).

As instructed in my initial reply an addition mail profile achieves the same
as identities in OE;
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profile-> New

Taking the long route, but so far no luck on the short cut. I can set up
another account as a mail profile. I can then set the option of going to
either profile when opening Outlook, BUT...... Having both account profiles
still does not give me an "accounts" button with the Send button. Do I need
to add such a button with a customized tool bar? The only way I can access
either profile is to go out of Outlook and choose the option on opening,
which is only slighty easier than switching users. If I could have both
email accounts receive into the same inbox, and have the use of the
"accounts" button you talke about on "send" would be great, but just setting
up the additional profile is not effecting this on Outlook 2002 that I can
see.

You are mixing up the two solutions now;

Solution 1)
Configure two different mail profiles with a single mail account and close
and restart Outlook to choose a profile to send through another account

Solution 2)
Use a single mail profile and add two mail accounts to it. You will now have
an accounts button to choose which account to use when sending.

Which option are you using and where do you get stuck?

Yes!. Thank you. I was combining both solutions. I was looking for
Solution 2.

Thanks, again. That solves my problem. Appreciate your patience.
