How to Add Text to a Scanned Document

I am running WinXP. I scanned a document into a .tif and
need to insert text onto the document. I'm able to bring
it up in Word but cannot do anything to document other
than resize it. Any suggestions?

A .tif file is just a picture of the page. Use an optical character
recognition (OCR) program to "read" the picture and create a Word
document from it. You probably got a program bundled with your
scanner.
