how long should it take?

Hi
I have been reading the posts here since yesterday. I can't seem to find an
answer to my questions..

Brief background: I created a huge movie- 43 min. It wouldn't transfer back
to my minidv camcorder. I tried spliiting it into smaller versions, using
the songs as a guide, and the first piece transferred. The second one kept
getting caught at 40% so I never got beyong that piece.

Next, I converted it into a high-quality (I think) NTFS video. That worked
well- and I even was able to put it onto a cd.

But I want to put it on my mini dv again so I can play it on the tv today
for everyone. So I tried taking the same movie file I put on the cd,
importing it into mmv. I watched it and it looked fine. I combined it all
together and now am trying save it onto the minidv tape again. It is stuck
on 24%. The time is up to 200 minutes now and keeps growing slowly.

What do I need to do???

Thanks for any help

Thanks for your help. Clearly, I need more RAM for this project to work. Or
a new computer... which is what we are considering right now. One with lots
of RAM, lots of GB and a DVD-rw
