Combining video from two tapes of the same event...

My daughter's birtday party was recorded by two of my friends using their
own MiniDV camcorders. So, I ended up with two MiniDV tapes of the same
event.

I would like to import both these videos as AVIs, and create a single video
by taking the best clips (mixing) from both the sources.

Is it possible to have two video sources to create a single video, in Movie
Maker?

I think you missed the point completely here. I have edited many videos
before, and I don't need basic instructions.

I have two videos taken at the same time using two different cameras. I want
to align both videos on the timeline, and pick and chose scenes from both,
to create one final video.
