How do you make a small page to insert?

In the FP Insider, November issue, there was a tip about making a small page
to insert into another web page. How do you specify the size of the small
page?
The tip says to creat a "New Page" and make it a small page, then go to the
page you want to insert it in and use "Insert Web Component".

I have FP 2003. When I create the samll page, the only place I found to
change the size was in "View" / "Page Size", but that changes the size of
all the pages in the site.

I would think it should be easy to change the size of a single page, but I'm
not seeing it. Can someone tell me how?

Include component just adds the content of one page to another - it doesn't
change the size of the (inserted) page; it just inserts/includes it in
another page.

From your question I'd guess you're after something like Inline frames (a
feature in FP2003) - you load one page in the frame that sits inside another
page, and you *can* specify the size of the inline frame.

You do not specify the size of the inserted page - you design it to fit in
the space you have made available for it in the pages it is being included
in.

Insert the content into a table, then you have control over the display area/size when it is
included in other pages.

My website can read php in an html page so I use the insert command. I like
this because I can change the page I call with insert and the parent page
then changes as well.

When Inserting a page with the Frontpage component it does not see new
changes to the page if you should change that page you inserted.

Inline Frames will show new changes.

Here is Insert command. Copy it into the body where you want to place it and
see if your website and webhost works with this command in HTML. There are
posts here that will help if this does not work and this is something you
want to persue. I have used this in tables as well.

<?php
include 'http://www.websiteaddress.com/page01.htm';
?>

This is a bit more advanced then your first thread but I was where you are
now a few months back and felt the limitations of FP Insert...
