How do you get .avi files onto movie maker?

I can't get my .avi files to play on movie maker. The audio codec is mpeg-3,
if that helps any. What do I do?
 
Find out with which codec the AVI is compressed by using G-Spot Codec
identifier. Once you have discovered which you need, download and install
that codec. Then WMM should be able to import it.
