How do you add design templates to PPT 2003 from the web

Bob S

I use Office 11 (PPT 2003) and just went to the MS website to dowload 5
templates. I saw them show up in ppt. However, when I exited and restarted
ppt, the templates did NOT show up in the Design Template pane. What do I
need to do to get access to them.
Thanks in advance.

Apply the template to a test presentation a few times. It should then show
up on the design template task pane.

Bob,

It's a quirk -- but you must actually use the templates before they will
show up in your task pane.

Bring up the design task pane. At the bottom of the task pane should be a
browse link. Browse to the template and apply it to a test presentation.
Close the presentation. Open another and see if the new template shows up
in the list. If it doesn't re-browse for it. It sometimes takes two or three
tries for a new template to end up in the list on the task pane itself.

Thanks Kathy, I use OL 03 on a Win SP SP2 machine. Your suggestions
worked beautifully for several of the templates downloaded from the
powerpoint website. however, I ran into a couple of problems. One was with
a template with a Bible on it (found at the bottom of this webpage
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT102433001033.aspx?av=ZPP000).
It shows up in the design pane just fine. However, in the actual test
presentation,
it shows only the background, with no picture of the Bible on it. Do you
have
any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.
Bob
