How Do You Use Multiple Design Templates in a Single PPT?

Hey guys,

I am designing a training PPT, and I would like to use one design
template for my intro screen, and a secondary template for the rest of
the body.

Unfortunately, when I click on slide 2 and change the design template,
it changes slide 1 as well.
I tried going to Tools - Options - Edits and unchecking multiple
masters, but this does not fix the problem. I am using powerpoint
2003. Thanks.

Select second slide.
Click Format > Slide Design.
Now, hover over the template that you want to use.
You should see a drop-down arrow.
Click on the dropdown arrow.
Select "Apply to selected slides".
