How do I view the Archive folder in Outlook?

I have set the folders in Outlook to autoarchive & am prompted to archive,
but no "Archive" folder is displayed within Outlook.

when outlook archives it makes a .pst file, the folders are in that file, you
have to do a File / open / personal folders file (pst) / and find the file

Did you find out how to view the files...I can't view any files except

I am having this same problem - I want to be able to click on the Archvied
Folders in the "All Main Folders" section and be able to view previously
archived emails. Any suggestions on that would be great.

And why can't you use File>Open>Outlook Data File to open your archive PST?

Look in the Recycle bin.

BTW, This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
Good luck!

Ask Outlook Express questions in microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general.
If you compact OE folders, a copy gets saved to the Recycle Bin. Recover it
from there.

I have same problem - except that I have a folder entitled "Archive Folders"
in the box on the left hand side of the screen, but it is empty, that is
there are no archived messages in those folders. I tried to navigate to the
archive directly File>Open>Data File, but that nothing except take me to the
empty archive folders. Any suggestions as to where my valuable archived
messages might be and how I can access them?

Search your hard drive for all files with a .pst extension and open each one
in Outlook to see where your items are.

I found the .pst but get a message that I should not open these files because
this can damage my computer. What is the secret?

Open it in Outlook. File>Open>Outlook Data File.

When I first looked at my folder list I had the same problem. And panic. I
couldn't find any emails under Archive Folders. I tried the
file/open/personal folders but didn't see any personal folders option. I was
about to give up when I noticed that now, under the archive folders at the
very bottom of my Folder List was another folder called 'personal folders'
with inbox, deleted items etc. and what I needed was there. Hope this
helps.

I am having the exact same problem. When I searched my computer, I did find
the files but cannot open them. The only program available to open them is
Outlook Express. I have searched all my installed programs and Outlook 2007
can not be found even though it is installed and I am using it.
