How do I uninstall Media Player 9?

This is worse than a VIRUS. I have tried restoring to an
earlier time (twice). I have uninstalled at least 15
times. It keeps turning up like a bad joke. It's like
the nightmare houseguest that won't go away. I can't play
videos today that I could play last night because this
rotten thing has literally taken over EVERYTHING and will
not open ANYTHING. I want it gone and it want it gone
quick !!!! Why can't i UNINSTALL MEDIA PLAYER 9 ?????

You can go to "Add/Remove Programs" and then uninstall
Windows Media 9

You can go to add/remove windows components, but it only
removes them from your desktop and start menu, not the
actual program.

How do you get the entire @$@($&*@( program off a PC?

That's not an option- WMP is part of the defined baseline for Windows XP.
