How do i turn on and off the number pad?

How do i turn on and off the number keypad? the numbers are on the letters U,
I, O, P, J, K, L, and M

This would depend upon the type of keyboard you have. The best way to find
out would be to check your user manual. Note that this has nothing to do
with Microsoft Word.

Laptop? Hold the FN key while you press the number. This is surely explained
in the laptop manual.

You need to take that up with the supplier of your PC. This is nothing to do
with Word.

If it's a laptop, they normally reset the state of any locking keys when you
reboot. I'd try that. But, this really isn't a word.docmanagement issue.

I agree with others that this is not a Word issue but do you have a NumLock
key?
