how do I transfer my emails from outlook express 6 to outlook?

I've tried to burn my inbox / sent to a disc, and read in my new computer,
and import for outlook. Doesn't work. No network is available. should I
try a direct connection? Any advice?
 
OE, inc all mail files, and OL need to be on same PC, then export from OE to
OL
