How do I stop Outlook sending .GIF files

I have Office XP on a system box running Windows 2000. When ever I send an
email in HTML format something attaches 3 GIF files to the email. The GIFs
are of bullets which I have used at some time in the past. I have Office XP
running on a laptop with Windows XP and it does not happen on that machine.
I keep getting pesterd by recipients asking what the attachments are. I do
not wish to change to RTF or plain text as it upsets my "signature"

I am having the same issue. Should we be using Word as the e-mail editor? If
not, what would you suggest? Thanks

I am also having the exact same problem. When I send an email it
automatically attaches 2-3 .gif images which I had used for a web page
document I had created a short while ago.

I am using Word as the editor.
