how do i stop oulook 2000 from renaming my pop3 account to "localhost"
every time i get my emails i have to rename my pop3 server... tedious.
MS Outlook 2000 is cleverer than i want.
I have gone from PcCillin when i had to rename weekly or so to McCaffee pro
8 where i have to rename on each new opening of outlook 2000.
help.
 
This generally means that you have an antivirus package installed that can
scan POP3 email as it is downloaded. You would have to diasable that
feature in order to get your account settings to stick in Outlook.
