why does pop3 address move from its place to user name section?

When i close and reopen outlook, the pop3 address moves to the end of user
name section in the e-mail account details and instead of pop3 address it
says "localhost". When i the manually retype the pop3 address and user name,
then everything works fine till i close the application again. How can i fix
this problem?

You have a 3rd party security program (e.g. antivirus, antispam, firewall,
etc) installed that can scan pop3 e-mail as it is downloaded. You need to
disable/remove that feature from the 3rd program if you want it to stop
changing the POP3 server name in the mail client to localhost.
