How do i stop other programmes from editing outlook messages

Everytime i compose an e-mail message a dialogue box appears informing me
that a programme wishes to access outlook, and it asks me if i wish to allow
it and for how long. I use word as my e-mail editor and i have a suspicion
that adobe is trying to do this function also. It is definetly not a virus!
