i use outlook 2003. I had a problem with attachments to emails in that they
changed to winmail.dat. MS FAQ said to chage the format from Rich Text to
either HTML or Plain Text. I have changed it to HTML The problem I now have
is that the email attachment does not show in the email for record purposes.
HOw do i option Outlook to show the attachment for record purposes.

Rich Text attachments show in the body, HTML and Plain Text show in a
separate header. Non-Outlook clients can read HTML and Plain Text but they
can't read Rich Text. You have to decide which is more important: whether
your recpients can read your messages or whether the attchment appears in
the body. I'd choose the former.

When you say "the email attachment does not show in the email for record
purposes", what do you mean by that? Of course attachment appear in the
message. Just not in the body. How does that affect "for record purposes"?
How do you "record" the messages?
