We have two exhanges 2003 located in difference site. US and China
Let descipt in Exchange A and mailbox A in US and Exchagne B and mailbox B
in China.

- Two exchange are connected through internal WLAN
- All outlook client are already using plain text
- All outlook client using gloal address book with windows 2003 AD user
account
- Mailbox A send LARGE attachment to Mailbox B vice verus. The attachment
becomes winmail.dat and the mail format becomes html.
- Mailbox A send <5M attachment to Mailbox B vice verus. The attachment
keeped normal like *.doc". All message format are keeped originally (like
plain text will keeped in plain text format)

All message route through internally. We don't want the email format and
attachemnt format changed by the system. We want to keep attachment as
original like word *.doc or Jpeg *.jpg. Does it has any method to prevent
attachment changed to winmail.dat and keep our email format as original.
Once again, we are only sending internal email, not internet message. Please
help

Best Regards
Alan.

There are several write-ups about that and I have tried all I could, but I
still have one email recipient, who will get the winmail gibberish unless I
type only a text. He can't even read the message, much less the enclosure.
I sure hope someone will have a solution to this big problem.

The solution is you can't use RTF in Outlook because Outlook Express doesn't
read it.
