I have a pc & modem running fax service (xp pro). I
would like for other pc's on the network to be able to
send/receive faxes using the service running on this fax
pc.
I have read help messages that state that when using fax
service on a pc, you can either use a local modem, or
specify a networked (shared) fax printer to use, in lieu
of having your own modem. But it doesn't tell how to set
the fax pc modem up as a shared fax printer.
when I configure the fax printer (modem) on the fax pc,
there is a "sharing" tab, but it says "sharing is not an
option for this type of printer".
Does anyone know how to do this? Am I missing
something? Can a modem & fax service be set up as a
shared fax printer?
