I have saved my CV using Microsoft Works and cannot post it on the Topdogs site. They say because it is not a MS Word doc. I dont really understand. Can I save it in a particular way or must I use a different application to write it. Thanks to all the replys so far, but I still dont know what to do!!

A CV is a Curriculum Vitea - its a resume or a one to two page document detailing a persons past career achievements. Its used by people applying for jobs, it gives the employer a chance to view a persons relative experiences before making a decision on calling him/her for interview.

Please feel free to post your question to the MS Works gurus at

microsoft.public.works.win

If there is a way to save a Works document as a Word document, those folks
can assist you.

It has been said that a CV should be sent as a text file such that any
program can open it.. companies use MS Word or WordPerfect for the most
part.. some still use WordPerfect 5.1 (last DOS version of this famous word
processor) which will definitely not open an MS Works file..
