I have created a CV in Microsoft Works, and saved on Floppy, when I send off
my CV's I am told that they need to be on Microsoft word. I have tried
pasting it on to word, but it does not work. Is there a way of transferring
from one to the other, so that I have a CV on both programmes. and so that I
don't have to retype it all on to word.

Get out of the habit of saving documents to floppy. It is probably not a
problem with Works, but it certainly would be with Word. Always work from
the hard disc and *copy* to and from floppy.

Recent versions of Works (certainly from version 7) can save in Word format.
Choose the file type from the menu.
Word can open Works files, provided the right filter is available for the
particular Works version. Some of the older filters are available linked
from the downloads page of my web site, others are supplied with Word.
