how do i save a document to a san disc

I just purchased a laptop and i need to save documents from my laptop to the
desktop. how is thisdone

Simply copy docs, within explorer, to whatever media.
or use Lan connections to share between pc's

You can use a network link or something like a memory stick to copy fuiles
from one to the other.
