How do I restore default line spacing in the Normal Template?

I'm not sure what I've done, but everytime I hit the RETURN key in any
document, the insertion point/cursor jumps down the page by 4" according to
the vertical ruler. I am using Word 2002.

I have solved my probem, by using the advice posted by Jezebel to Hank in the
post directly after mine. Thank-you!

Go to File > Page Setup, on the Layout tab, and make sure the Vertical
Alignment box is set to Top and not Center.

If that isn't it, check the definition of the Normal style to make sure it
has 0 in the Space Above box and Single in the Line Spacing box.

If all else fails, you may need the steps in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CustomizeNormalTemplate.htm or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm.
