Default normal template

Peter

In Word 2007 I would like to change the spacing style to my normal template.
How do I save the changes to apply to all documents?

Thank you,

Peter

There are several ways. If you just want to return to Word 2003's defaults,
in the Home ribbon tab, next to Change Styles, click the dropdown arrow and
choose Style Set - Word 2003. If what you end up with is what you want, then
click the dropdown arrow again and choose Set as Default.

For more granularity, click the Styles launcher (southeast corner of the
Styles chunk in the Home ribbon tab), then click the Manage Styles button
near the bottom of the Styles pane -- Set Defaults tab.

There, you can change the various elements of spacing. Note the option at
the bottom, which lets you apply this only to the current document or to new
documents based on the current template.

Tried all that but when I went to exit Word it asked do you want to save
changes to doc1.doc. When I exit Word I would like the changes to be saved
for all new documents.

Did you check the box for "New documents based on this template"?

Sorry, where is that command? Is it under Save As, Word Template, and then
rename Doc1.dotx?

As Herb state, when you modify a style, the Modify Style dialog includes
radio buttons for "Only in this document" and "New documents based on this
template."
