How do I remove the background fill on a Slide Master

I have a jpg as background fill on my slide master. Now I don,t want it - but
somehow I cant get to it and delite it. In menu: Format - background
the checkbox for "omit background graphics from master" is shaded...

Have you inserted the image directly on the masterslide? In that case you
can select it and delete it. If that is not the case, go to Format -
Background - in the dialogue just under automatic there is a bar with
several colour swatches, choose the first one which relates to the
background of the presentation. If you click that it should help.
