How do I prevent my new documents from opening as a copied doc?

Hello -
Sometime last week I inadvertently turned on some copying measure to my
Microsodt word program. The document that I was working on opens everytime I
open Microsoft Word. It doesn't matter whether I try to open a new document
they all open as the essay I was working on when something happened. I hate
having to erase the entire essay everytime I go to WORD or want to open a new
document because my page is never blank now. I just want to turn it back to
normal. I have even restored my computer back to an earlier time to elminate
this problem of course my folders didn't change. I am using microsoft word
2000 CD and this never happened before. Please if anyone can help me turn it
off I would be so grateful. Thanks in advance.
