Hi !
I must be getting old, because I can not remember how to p/w protect a
folder in Win Explorer.
I know there is a way to do this but have not done so in years.
Please help

In Windows XP, you cannot assign (with XP Native tools) password to folders
but you can assign permissions to users for accesing to them or not. Do you
have XP Prof or Home?

XP is designed to protect folder access with permissions, not passwords. If
you really insist on password protecting a folder, you can simply use Winzip
to encrypt it. The only way to decrypt it is obviously with the correct
password. However, be aware that without the appropriate permissions
applied, although the file can't be opened, it can still be deleted by
unauthorized users.

Hi !
That was it, using Winzip to encrypt it, Thanks for the remind.
