Missing Hard Drive in Windows Explorer

Mike

Hi !
Hope you can help.

Using Windows XP Pro.
2 Hard Drives and 2 ROMS

Hard Drives are 80g partitioned into two C: OS and G: Data and a 160g F:
Data.

The problem is that the F: drive shows up in Device Manager and in Disk
Management but not in Windows Explorer, C: and G: do show up and are
accessible.

C: and G: are Master and G: is Slave on IDE 1 and the two ROM's are in IDE
2.
Belarc also shows the F: drive.

Other info.
Vol = Local Disk (F)
Layout = Simple
Type = Dynamic
File Sys = NTFS
Status = Healthy
Capacity = 149.05
Free = 103
% Free = 69%
Fault tolerance = No
Overhead = 0%

Please help me access the F: drive
No other Apps have been added and all virus and spyware are up to date and
are running.
ThanX again.

Hi Mike go here and download Partition Magic 8 Trial

http://www.soft32.com/download_151.html

I think your MBR Master Boot Record is at fault. I had a HD that did the
same thing two years ago and when I ran PM8 I think it showed up as YELLOW
which was not good. You can do a search on Google for software to fix the MBR
if that is what is wrong with it. Be very carefull in what you do, you can
make that drive inoperable.

ThanX for the reply.
Will download PM8.
Will the PM8 trial repair the fault or must I use another app to repair.
What could cause this to happen?

ThanX again.
