Lost hard drive after power failure

Mike

Hi ! please help.

Problem.
3 hard drives, c: 80g fixed
f 1: 160g removable
f 2: 160g removable

Before a power failure c and f 1 were in and working
After the power failure the system would not reboot, blank screen after BIOS
Removed f 1 and system worked fine with only c, inserted f 2 and system
works fine
Removed f 2 and put in f 1 system refuses to boot
I hope I'm making myself clear

How do I regain control of f 1 again, or have I lost data on f1 ?

ThanX
Mike

After any added hd,sometimes the BIOS will switch the new for C: and
make it the 1st boot device, after you add,1st open BIOS and chk boot
priority.

Hi !
ThankX for the input but BIOS still recognises the 80g as the 1st boot
device.
Any other suggestions.
ThankX
