Hi to you all

A laptop running Windows XP Pro
Folders when opening always open small size ( half screen )
After setting folder to full screen
and in Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder options / General
settings checked are * Use windows Classic Folders
* Open each folder in same window
* Double click to open an item
The in view tab
I click " APPLY TO ALL FOLDERS " OK
On restart all folders are still half size

What am I doing wrong ???

You could be referring to the size of Windows explorer window. To make the
windows full screen without having to click the maximize button, do this:
Open one window > position your cursor to the corner of the window > drag the
cursor up the edge of the screen. Do the same thing to the opposite corner >
close the window. The window should be full screen when reopened

This is one of the most-often asked questions . Just closing a newly
stretched window doesn't always hold it. I've seen these "fixes" or ways to
make it work:
-Hold Shift, ctrl, or Shift+ctrl while clicking on X in u-r
-Click on icon in u-l (title bar. In that menu, select Close by itself or
by the above mentioned Shift and ctrl key combinations with it
No guarantees, at least here as I have same problem at times.

Another route given is through shortcuts set to open maximized. For any
given shortcut, right-click, select Properties; in dialog box, select
Shortcut tab. In "Run", select maximized" in the list of three options.
Again. no guarantees...
